主题：县情简介英文版征求意见稿

随着泾川对外开放步伐的加快，外事活动日益频繁，一个英文版的县情简介对方便沟通、增进了解有十分重要的作用。为此，特翻译了县情简介，现予以公布，请各位高手指点疏漏。
                                                                 泾川县情简介
                                                                 Introduction
    泾川县位于秦陇交界处，是甘肃的东大门。全县辖14个乡（镇）、1个经济开发区，215个行政村，1466个村民小组。总人口34.71万人，其中农业人口31.67万人。总面积1409.3平方公里，土地构成为一川四塬五分山，属典型的黄土高原丘陵沟壑区。总耕地87.87万亩，人均耕地2.8亩，是一个传统的雨养农业县。
    Jingchuan Gansu province, which is located in the march with Shaanxi and Gansu province, it was known as the East gate for Gansu. It has 14 twons, 1 Development Area ,215 villages,1466 group underits jurisdiction. with a population of over 0.3471 million,thereinto, 0.3167 million for agricultural population . it covers a total area of 1.4093 thousand square kilometres . The arable land is 0.8787 million  mu. Per capita cultivated land 2.8mu, The land structure is :10% for plain ,40% for plateau ,50% for hills, it belongs the classic loess plateau hilly region area. It is a Traditional agriculture county.
    自然条件优越。境内海拔930─1460米，年平均日照2274小时，平均气温10.4℃，年均降水555毫米，无霜期174天，是国家农业部划定的全国优质苹果最佳适生区。
    With abundant natural resources. it is at an elevation of 930-1460m. Sunshine annual average amount to 2274 hours , atmospheric temperature at 10.4℃, Precipitation in 555mm , frostless period at 174 days . It was defined as the best area for high quality apple by The Agricultural Ministry of China. 
    区位优势独特。国道312线横贯全境，银武高速公路正在建设，西平铁路即将动工，西距省会兰州420公里，东距古都西安220公里,是西兰银三大中心城市交汇处和陇东重要交通枢纽。
    With unique geographical advantages. It lies the 312 National Highway. The Yinwu freewag and the Xiping railway are under construction now, it is about 420km away from the capatial of Gansu –Lanzhou in the west and 220km away from Xi’an in the east. It is the big city confluence of Xi’an ,Lanzhou, Yinchuang city and an Important Transport Hub in the east of Gansu Province.
    旅游资源丰富。泾川是西王母的降生地和西王母文化的发祥地，以始建于西汉元封年间的王母宫为代表的西王母文化遗存引起了国内外民俗文化界的关注。大云寺地宫出土的佛祖舍利为国宝级文物。南石窟寺、王母宫石窟为国家级文物保护单位。田家沟生态风景区被评为国家级水利风景区。泾川温泉日出水量1920立方米，长年恒温38.2℃，是含活性微量元素氟离子重碳酸钠型医用泉水。
    With richly tourism resource. Jingchuan is the birthplace and the for the Western Queen Myth and the Central Culture ,The world famous building Western Queen Palace which was built in Western Han Dynasty is attracting more attention by the world folk cultural circles,such as , The National treasured cultural relic—Sakyamuni Sheli of the Dayun Temple, The protection unit of major cultaral relics –Nan Grotto Temple,Wangmu Grotto. The National water recreation areas----Tianjiagou.The dayly natural hot spring yield is about 1920 M3. yealy constant temperature  is 38.2℃,  Jingchuan hot spring is used in medicel area with high fluorine content contains activeties trace element.
    生态环境良好。全县水土流失治理程度达到82.4%,森林覆盖率37.13%，先后荣获“甘肃省实现绿化第一县”、“全国水土保持先进县”、“全国造林绿化百佳县”、“全国林业生态建设先进县”、“全国绿化模范县”等称号。
    With good ecological environmentthe.  The area of comprehensive treatment of water and soil loss reaches 82.4%, coverage rate of forest was around 37.13 %, It was awarded “The first county of Gansu virescence ””The advanced county of Chinese Soil and Water Conservation” ”The Hundred Excellent county of Chinese Afforestation and Greening  ” ,”The advanced county of Chinese Forestry Ecological Construction”,” the exemplary county of Chinese virescence”and ect.
    产业资源富集。大力实施“产业富县”战略，着力打造产业集群核心竞争优势。全县栽植果园29.98万亩，被誉为“中国红富士苹果之乡”，“泾龙”牌红富士苹果被授予“中华名果”称号。牛、猪饲养量分别为17万头、30万口，年均种植蔬菜12万亩，初步形成了果品、畜牧、蔬菜三大产业集群。以产业开发为支撑，坚持抓点示范、以线串点、连点扩面、联片突破、整体推进，新农村建设走出了路子，被列为全省新农村建设试点县。
    With enrichment agricultural industry resource. Agricultural Clusters and Regional Agricultural Development is the key development stratagem for Jinchuan. The planting of Apple coved 299,800 mu , It is awarded “The First Twon of Chinese Hongfushi Apple”. The apple brand name –“Jinglong”which is awarded “Chinese No.1”.
    And it has 170,000 catties and buffaloes,300,000 pigs, The yield of Vegetables could be raised by 120,000 mu/year
   The Fruit ,Animal busbandry , vegetables have been preliminarily formed after these 3 kinds of Agricultural clusters.  Support on the Development of Agricultural, Persisting in plot tests and demonstration, on the basis of protecting ecological system and the environment in the whole advancement.The New Countryside Construction was successed in development. It was recommended to be a New Countryside construction centre in Gansu Province.
    发展前景广阔。近年来，我们坚持和弘扬“与时俱进、敢为人先、持之以恒、团结奋战”的泾川精神，大力实施生态立县、工业强县、产业富县、开放活县、人才兴县“五大战略”，加快推进新农村建设，加快体制机制创新，加快构建和谐社会，着力打造新农村建设、生态、,、果品“四张品牌”，全县经济社会发展迈上了新台阶。2007年，全县生产总值完成20.62亿元，地方固定资产投资完成8.6亿元，社会消费品零售总额完成6.44亿元，地方财政收入完成3520万元，城镇居民人均可支配收入完成8256元，农民人均纯收入完成2160.9元。
    With Broad Development Prospects. Recently , we uphold and carry forward the Jingchuan spirits of “advancing with time,consciousness of innovation , perseverance and Unity . 
    Under the 5 Strategy of Powerful Industrial County, Rich Agricultural County, Opening County, Education Rejuvenation County.
 speeding up New Countryside Construction, enhancing system and mechanism innovation , Fastly Constructing Harmonious Society, building up 4 famous brand: New Countryside Construction,    Ecology, Tourism and Fruit . In the year of 2007 , RMB2.062 billion for the County total output value, RMB0.86 billion for Fixed Assets Investment, RMB0.644nillions for social consumer goods, RMB35.20millions for local financial revenue, urban residents disposable income is for RMB8256, the net income per capita is for RMB2160.9.
    The Economic and Social Development of our County is better day after day.
